Sports & Dance Injury Rehabilitation

Our Dance Medicine and Rehabilitation program was designed by our own, Amy Anderson. We are fortunate to feature her groundbreaking approach and style. She has studied with the pioneers of dance medicine and rehabilitation including Elizabeth Larkham, master teachers Jillian Hessel and Michelle Larson, Julio Harvath, Jo Ann Posner, Shelle Geyer, Marika Molnar, Brent Anderson and Karen Clippenger.

In 1985, Amy earned a Bachelors Degree in Dance from Loretto Heights College of Denver, Colorado. She danced professionally for 20 years and has served as a dance instructor for the past 14 years.

A polished teacher, Amy has presented Pilates rehabilitation workshops to Pilates instructors and physical therapists for over 5 years. She has presented dance medicine applications to physical therapy, orthopedic, sports medicine and pain management facilities in the metropolitan Denver region.

Amy has also taught Pilates and dance medicine at David Taylor Dance Theatre, Colorado Ballet, Colorado State University, and various other dance schools. She is an active member of the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science and the Physical Mind Institute since 1992. Amy also serves as an active member of The Pilates Method Alliance

Working in concert with Amy is Lea-Ann McMillan who is a former professional dancer, Pilates instructor, yoga instructor, and a certified Rehabilitative Pilates practitioner. Susie Hoffman is a licensed Physical Therapist, Certified Massage Therapist, and certified Cranio-sacral Therapist. In addition, Susie Hoffman is also certified in the Pilates Method.
